We believe that a child with ADHD needs more stimulation, as well as different methods of teaching. We also emphasise the importance of a balanced lifestyle that includes diet and exercise here.

Adeline Pretorius is an experienced Dietician with post graduate qualifications in Paediatric Nutrition, Enteral Nutrition, Sports Nutrition and Behavioural Change therapy.
Adeline graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1997. She recently completed her Master degree in Nutrition at Stellenbosch University, focusing her thesis on dietary guidelines for infants.
Apart from being registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Dietician, Adeline is also a registered Paediatric Dietician in the United Kingdom.
Adeline started working as a private practicing Dietician in Pretoria before taking on a position as Chief Dietician with the National Health Services in London, United Kingdom. She practiced as a UK Dietician for seven years and gained extensive experience in adult enteral feeding and general adult dietetic clinics. She later qualified as a UK Paediatric Dietician and specialised in paediatric feeding including ADHD, eating disorders, neonatal care, diabetes, enteral feeding, allergies, feeding problems and general paediatric nutrition.
On her return from the UK, Adeline again entered the private sector. She works mainly in paediatric nutrition, although she also consults with adults. Alongside her private practice, she owns and manages the Nutri-Q baby meal business.
Nadia Swart obtained her BA degree in Applied Psychology at the University of South Africa in 2010, before obtaining her BSocSci Honours degree in Psychology at the University of Pretoria in 2011.
In 2013 she obtained her Post Graduate Certificate in Education from UNISA with distinction. Nadia has also done some courses on study methods and working with children that have ADHD; some of these are still on-going.
She has many years of experience in working with children, which include working as an au-pair since 2008 and the practical component of her training.
Nadia has a passion for working with children, especially working one-on-one with children that may benefit from a little extra assistance.
During her practicum at a mainstream school, she realised that many children fall through the cracks and are left behind.
The need she saw for remedial teaching and for intensively working with one child at a time were the main reasons for joining the Unity in ADHD team.
Liizl Miller obtained her MEd (Ed Psych) and MSc (Clin Psych) degrees at the Universities of Pretoria and Medunsa and completed her internship at the following places: School for Cerebral Palsy, University of Pretoria - Child Guidance Clinic, Weskoppies Hospital - Child, Adolescent and Adult Centre and Jacaranda Orphanage and Eersterust. She registered as an Educational Psychologist in January 1999 and as a Clinical Psychologist in 2010.
Liizl has been a member of a psychology private practice in Pretoria since May 1999. Previously she was employed at the Counselling Department of the Tshwane University from 1995 to 1998.
Liizl began her training in SHIP® in 1998 and is registered as a SHIP®forAdolescentes & a SHIP®forAdults Facilitator. Liizl specialises in working with adolescents, children and adults.
She has attended numerous courses over the years, such as Post-Magister Education at the University of RAU in the following programmes: Adult Psychopathology; Adult Neuropsychology and Developmental Psychology.
